York Dobyns serves as Database Analyst for the Kentucky Cancer Registry, where he is responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of the relational database systems that underpin Kentucky's cancer surveillance infrastructure.
His work encompasses database architecture, performance tuning, data migration, and the development of queries and reports that support epidemiological research and public health analysis. York ensures that KCR's data warehouse can reliably handle the volume, variety, and velocity of cancer case data collected from facilities statewide.
He collaborates closely with programmers, epidemiologists, and data quality staff to support both operational registry functions and research data requests.
